Lullaby in the Forest

This morning as I was walking through the forest in the mountains behind Santa Barbara doing my vocalizing exercises, I ran into a new mother carrying her sleeping baby in a swaddling cloth. She said she heard me from a distance singing up into the trees and it was very magical.

I sat down to chat a bit and told her about my upcoming Lullabies For The Heart CD, then I gave her some title choices from tracks from the upcoming album with which to serenade her, baby Reilly, and new puppy Storm. She picked “Golden Slumbers.” I stood up and sang to them and Mother Earth, as the rain gently started to fall.

What a special moment in time! Thank you Lovely Lady for this Divine appointment. Love, Gwendolyn

Golden Slumbers Fill Your Eyes, Smiles Await You When You Rise, Sleep Pretty Darlin Do Not Cry,. And I Will Sing a Lullaby. Cares You Know Not Therefore Sleep. While Over You Safe Watch I Keep. Sleep Pretty Darlin Do Not Cry, And I Will Sing a Lullaby. Sleep Pretty Darlin’ Do Not Cry And I Will Sing a Lullaby

    1. Hi Gwendolyn,

This is so beautiful! What a special moment you 3 had! Thanks for sharing! I can only imagine how magical it was for all of you! How special that you called it a “Divine Appointment”! And YES, that is what is was. I hope you were able to get home for Christmas!

      1. Dear Sharon, thank you for the kind words. Yes, after my 31st day in a row in the recording studio (for Lullaby CD), I drove home and made it there by 11:55pm on Christmas Eve! And here is New Year’s Eve…a day of acknowledging the year, and letting it go, and dreaming of times to come aligned with the truth of our Spirit. Blessings and Love, Gwendolyn
